Standard Forms of Contracts

Case Assignment  PT 1

Figure 4.1 in the Turner (2003) text provides a list of items a contract should include. 

This is missing key elements of a standard contract. Your case assignment response should discuss the four parts (below), and in a 3-page paper, provide the following:

· List the key elements of a contract from Turner (2003). 

· Identify the missing elements of the contract link above.

· For each missing element, explain the potential ramifications or impact to each party.

· For each missing element, give an example of wording that would complete the requirements of a standard contract.

PT 2

· SLP Assignment

For this SLP assignment, write a 2-page paper (excluding title and references pages) paper. Include two scholarly sources (cited and referenced per APA 7), and provide the following:

1. Review the article by Heneghan, D. P. (2004). Contract management services. Journal of Contemporary Water Research & Education, 128(1), 35¬-37. Address the requirements below:

· Submit a two-page critique of the article above. 

· Summarize the article and explain how you might apply the tenets to a real-world contract scenario (either your SLP contract or another real-world example).

2. Additionally, consider the organization and the business situation you selected for the Module 1 SLP and add the following to your original Contract:

· Use the instructor feedback you received and the concepts and principles you have been studying in this module to refine and revise the Contract you prepared for the Module 1 SLP assignment. 

· Add the following to your Contract: forms of agreement, general term definitions, schedule of particulars, fee schedule, and scope of services.

In a paragraph or two at the end of your Contract, list the elements you added to your Contract and explain how each strengthens the agreement and/or protects one or both parties from litigation. Cite and reference sources to support your work.

Add your revised Contract to the end of your 2-page paper and place it on its own page after the references page.

2. Provide an APA-formatted title page. Use
